Vidgest is a macOS application that fetches publicly available YouTube video transcripts and provides AI-powered analysis. The app requires your own API keys for AI features.
You are responsible for: (1) providing your own AI API keys and any associated costs, (2) using the app in compliance with YouTube's Terms of Service, (3) ensuring you have the right to process any content through AI services, and (4) maintaining the security of your API keys.
Vidgest connects to third-party AI services (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) using API keys you provide. You are subject to those services' terms of use and responsible for any charges from those providers. Vidgest does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
Vidgest Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple. The purchase grants a lifetime license for the features described at the time of purchase.
Vidgest and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer. Transcripts fetched from YouTube remain the intellectual property of their respective creators. AI-generated analyses are provided for personal use.
Vidgest is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the app.
All data is stored locally on your device. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for complete details on data handling.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be included in app updates. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
You may stop using Vidgest at any time by uninstalling the app. We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the app for violations of these terms.
